The Belly

The film is based on a struggle between a belly and the hands. The belly fulfills the screen, covers the sight of the spectator, and blinds her/him. The struggle between the hands and the belly produce some erotic overtones when presented within a rhythmical tension. This struggle can be placed in a metaphorical context if one refers to the everyday signifying regime of the images; belly signifies the authority and the hands signify the work- the labor.
